Charnwood Retreat – Lincolnshire Wolds: a secluded spacious retreat – sleeping 2

The rolling hills, hidden valleys and gentle streams as well as the woodland, grassland and abandoned chalk pits that make up the Wolds provide important habitats for rare flowers and wildlife. Most was designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This wonderful area of countryside has some of the most beautiful, unspoilt scenery in the East Midlands.

The Lincolnshire Wolds is the highest land in eastern England between Kent and Yorkshire and is situated in the north-eastern quarter of the county of Lincolnshire, mid-way between Lincoln and the coast and it’s height allows for beautiful views to the Pennines in the west, and the coast to the east.

The spacious accommodation offers a kingsize bed, walk in shower, large lounge and cosy conservatory and a well-equipped kitchen. A private patio provides a lovely al-fresco dining area (when weather permits!).

Attractions including Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, Natureland Seal Sanctuary, Lincolnshire Gliding Club and Brewery tours are just some of the  numerous attractions and places to visit in the area for all age groups and abilities, with  Cadwell Park Motor Racing Circuit is just 15 miles away for motor bike fans. The historic town of Lincoln is just one hour away and famous for its ancient Cathedral and pastoral Castle, where enthusiasts travel to view the notorious display of the Magna Carta.
